Treadmills for Every Type of Runner
Whether you walk for health, jog for cardio, or run at pace for serious training, there is a treadmill in this range built for your goal. Options range from compact walking pads through to commercial-grade running machines used in professional gym environments.
Home treadmills — built for regular use, motorised incline, and quiet enough for apartments. Most include 2.5–3.5HP motors, 140–155cm running decks, and foldable frames for compact storage.
Folding treadmills — full-spec machines that fold vertically to save floor space. Ideal for apartments, shared homes, or any room that doubles as a gym.
Touchscreen treadmills — smart models with 10–21.5" displays, Bluetooth connectivity, pre-programmed workouts, and app integration.
Commercial treadmills — AC motor machines rated for multi-user gym environments. Brands include Reeplex, Impulse, Intenza, and Spirit.
Walking pads — ultra-compact under-desk treadmills for daily step count and low-impact movement.
How to Choose the Right Treadmill
Motor Power
Use continuous horsepower (CHP) — not peak HP — to compare motors. Walking: 2.0–2.5 CHP. Jogging: 2.5–3.0 CHP. Running: 3.0–3.5 CHP. Commercial: 3.5+ CHP AC motor.
Running Deck Size
Minimum 140cm length for jogging. 150cm+ for runners over 180cm tall or with a long stride. Width should be at least 50cm.
Incline Range
Most home treadmills offer 0–15% motorised incline. Incline training increases calorie burn and targets glutes and hamstrings. Dedicated incline treadmills reach up to 40%.
Cushioning
Multi-layer cushioning reduces knee and ankle impact — important for daily users or those with joint concerns. Some models offer adjustable cushioning firmness.
Foldable vs Fixed Frame
Folding treadmills suit homes under 40m² or multi-purpose rooms. Fixed-frame machines are more stable at high speeds and better for dedicated gym spaces.

Treadmill Maintenance & Care
Extend the life of your machine with regular care:
• Lubricate the belt every 3–6 months with silicone-based lubricant
• Keep the deck and frame clean and free of dust
• Check belt tension every 6 months — a loose belt slips, an overtightened one strains the motor
• Use a treadmill cover if stored in a garage or outdoor area

Every treadmill can be purchased via credit card, PayPal, Afterpay (4 fortnightly payments), Zip (up to 36 months), Humm (up to 60 months), or Latitude interest-free terms.
Treadmills - FAQs
For most Australian homes, a mid-range motorised treadmill with 2.5–3.5 CHP, a 140–150cm running deck, and motorised incline offers the best balance of performance and price. Reeplex, Bodyworx,
and Impact Fitness are popular choices available at Dynamo Fitness showrooms.
Treadmill prices in Australia vary widely depending on motor size, build quality, and features. Entry-level walking pads and compact models sit at the lower end, quality home running machines in the mid range, and commercial-grade treadmills at the premium end. Check each product page for current pricing.
Home treadmills use DC motors rated for 1–2 hours of use per day. Commercial treadmills use AC motors designed for continuous multi-user operation. Commercial models are heavier, more durable, and carry longer warranties.
Yes. Modern folding treadmills use reinforced hydraulic folding systems and are stable at running speed. They are ideal for apartments and spaces where the machine needs to be stored when not in use.
Yes. Dynamo Fitness has 14 showrooms across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and the Gold Coast where every treadmill can be tested at full speed. No appointment needed.
A walking pad is an ultra-compact treadmill designed for walking rather than running. No handrails, shorter deck, slimmer profile — ideal for use under a standing desk or in very small spaces. The Impact Fitness T1 is a popular compact option.
Yes. All treadmills sold by Dynamo Fitness include manufacturer warranty. Coverage varies by model — typically 1–2 years parts and labour for home models, longer for commercial. Check each product page for full warranty details.
Home treadmills typically operate at 60–70 dB at jogging pace — similar to a normal conversation. Using a rubber treadmill mat underneath significantly reduces vibration and impact noise transmitted
through floors.
